Policies & Restrictions / More Ads or Paid Promotional Material than Publisher-content

Does Google have a “Made for Advertising” (MFA) policy?

Under our behavioral policies we don't allow ads on spammy content and we prohibit publishers from engaging in disruptive, invasive or deceptive ad-serving practices for the purposes of generating ad revenue. This includes:

  • Pages with more ads than publisher content.
  • Pages with ads that fully or partially obscure publisher content for any period of time.
  • Ad placements that lead to accidental clicks or interfere with users’ experience.
  • Replicated content or content that’s been copied from other sites without adding any additional value to that content.
